Why don't aliens contact us?

T he other day I was contacted about a contract job that sounded interesting. The person who sent the email, "Antonio" told me he found my resume on a job board and wanted to hire me to do some work for his company. It would be a part-time role which would allow me to still spend time running my business and doing the myriad other things I do throughout the day like dropping off large string instruments at the school and being a Soccer Mom . I wrote back, " That sounds like the type of situation I have been looking for. Please provide additional details. " The person wrote back with a job description attached. Alien Bird Box Challenge

T he other day at Mrs. M.'s request the two of us watched Bird Box on Netflix. If you have seen any trailers or heard anything about it I am not giving anything away by saying it is about these creatures that cause you to kill yourself if you look at them. The movie did not get great reviews by critics but what do they know? Bird Box was viewed by 45 million people in its first week. I wonder how they know if one person is watching at a time, or five. Me, I am a big fan of post-apocalyptic books and movies, even bad post-apocalyptic movies , so I would have enjoyed it even if the critics were right. I have seen I am Legend about a dozen times. I woke from a dream this morning. Or maybe it was conscious thought while still half asleep. I dreamed that I sat before a panel of Congressmen or Senators. Maybe it was both. I do not know how these things work. A wrinkled suit stuffed with a man who has eaten too many pork rinds grilled me on my experience in Gagetown , New Brunswick in 1992. I felt like Mark Zuckerberg facing a Congressional hearing , except I was the good guy. The Senator asked me why I laughed at a disperaging question.
